1lbs lean ground beef 93/7 | |
1lbs lean ground turkey 99/1 | |
1/2medium yellow onion, chopped | |
1tbsp minced garlic | |
2 bell peppers, chopped (1 green, 1 red) | |
2cans fire roasted tomatoes (14oz cans) | |
1can tomato paste (6oz) | |
1can diced green chilies | |
1cup beef broth | |
1can chili beans* | |
4tbsp chili powder | |
1tbsp cumin | |
1tsp salt | |
1tsp pepper |

Directions
1.
Turn instant pot to sauté, drizzle the bottom with olive oil just to avoid the meat sticking. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the meat and cook until browned but not fully cooked through.
Mark as complete

While still in the sauté function add vegetables and all remaining ingredients. Stir together well.
Mark as complete

Put on the lid and set to pressure cook for 30 minutes. You can let this self release all the way or quick release.
Top with sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped red onion and/or avocado.

I use Bush's Mixed Chili Bean - Pinto and Kidney in mild chili sauce

This was delicious! Even my kids loved it! I served it over a baked potato and the flavor was delicious. Do you know the fiber content?
Let me tell you what… this recipe is exactly what chili is supposed to taste like. Grandma’s chili is hard to beat but this chili did it. (Shhh.. don’t tell her.) Thank you for creating such a yummy/easy recipe!
