These Air Fryer Chicken Patties are an easy dinner the whole family will love. These crispy, high protein patties can be turned into chicken sandwiches, chicken burgers, added to salads or eaten as is with ketchup and French fries.
In a large mixing bowl add the ground chicken, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, beaten egg, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, mustard and milk. Combine with your hands to evenly mix everything together.
Split into 4 balls, approximately 150g each. Flatten into patties and lightly presh a hole, not going all the way through the patty, into the center using a thumb.
Add the second ½ cup of breadcrumbs to a shallow bowl and coat each patty in the crumbs on all sides.
Place in the air fryer basket and spray the tops with olive oil spray or avocado spray and cook at 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes. Flip, spray the tops and cook for an additional 4 minutes. Remove and enjoy.
Turn into sandwiches and burgers with burger toppings and sauces.
Notes
Meat should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
To lower the carbs, omit the crispy coating outside, although it is so worth it and is recommend to keep.
Make these small round for homemade chicken nuggets or for slider buns.
Top with cottage cheese ranch and homemade BBQ sauce for the ultimate chicken patty burgers.
