1Tbsp.sprinkles (using Wilton pink, red and white)10g
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 8x8 or 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray. If using a good nonstick metal pan, no need. Do not use bigger than a 9x9 pan.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Gently fold in the M&M’s and sprinkle.
Add the cookie dough to the prepared baking pan and using a rubber spatula or your hands work the dough so it covers the entire surface of the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are browned and a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
Remove from the oven and allow the cookie bars to cool in the pan for about 5-10 minutes. When ready to transfer either remove with the parchment paper or place cutting board over the top of the pan and flip out onto the cutting board. To flip the top side back up use a second surface or cutting board, place on the bottom of the bars and flip over.
Cut into 16 equal squares and enjoy.
Notes
Nutritional information is an estimate and will vary with substitutions.
Do not use a 9x13 or anything larger than a 9x9-inch pan. This will cause extremely thin bars. The smaller the pan the thicker.
