1 1/2cupsunsweetened vanilla almond milk1/2 cup reserved
1scoopchocolate protein powder, PEscience
1tsp.cocoa powder
1/2Tbsp.honey
Instructions
Add oats and 1 cup almond milk (save 1/2 cup for later!) to a pot over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and reduce to medium. Stir and cook until the oats have soaked up most of the almond milk, approximately 5 minutes.
While the oats cook, add the protein powder, cocoa powder, honey and additional ½ cup almond milk into a shaker cup or a mason jar and shake until well combined.
Add the protein milk to the oats and stir to combine. Return to a boil and cook until it reaches your desired thickness. It will continue to thicken as it sits.
Top with your favorite toppings like sliced bananas, peanut butter swirl, cocoa nibs or fresh berries.
Notes
I am using ONE Degree Gluten Free Sprouted Rolled Oats but any old fashioned rolled oats work great.
