This easy recipe takes the classic combo of chicken, bacon and ranch and puts it in teeny tiny slider form. Perfect for Super Bowl and holidays, these finger sandwiches serve a lot of people at once and are incredibly easy to throw together.

There’s no right way to build a slider and you can add whatever type of meat, cheese and sauce you love which is why I think sliders are some of the easier ways to load up on protein. If you want a saucy slider add in your favorite ranch dressing. If you’re wanting low calorie opt for a yogurt-based like Bolthouse Farms.

I’m a gal who loves to give options so serve a slider buffet with chicken pesto sliders, Italian sliders and buffalo chicken sliders and let your guests decide what they’re in the mood for. They’re gonna love it, I guarantee it.

  • Ground Chicken: ground turkey, deli turkey, deli chicken, leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken. Ground turkey has less flavor than chicken so add extra ranch seasoning, salt and black pepper.
  • Bacon: I used pork bacon but you can use turkey bacon. You can also use bacon bits if you don’t feel like cooking.
  • Dry Ranch Seasoning: try homemade ranch seasoning or store-bought.
  • Sweet Hawaiian Rolls: any sweet roll, dinner rolls, brioche bun or slider roll.
  • Mozzarella Cheese: any kind of cheese: pepper jack cheese, colby jack, cheddar, dairy-free cheese, etc.

Dietary Modifications

  • For dairy-free, use a dairy-free cheese.
  • For gluten-free, use a gluten-free roll, Canyon Bakehouse has great ones.

How to make this chicken bacon ranch sliders recipe (a visual step-by-step guide):

Step 1: preheat oven and cook bacon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a pan over medium heat cook bacon until crispy. Once the bacon is cooked, remove and set aside on a paper towel to drain the excess fat.

Two side-by-side images of bacon in a frying pan capture the transformation from raw strips to crispy delight. Its easy to imagine these succulent pieces filling chicken bacon ranch sliders, ready for a flavorful bite. Both pans rest on a light blue tiled surface.

Step 2: cook chicken & season

Drain most of the fat from the pan and add the ground chicken to cook. Break the chicken into pieces as you cook and cook until browned and cooked through.ย  Add ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper to the chicken and mix followed by the chopped bacon. Add the bacon, green onions and mozzarella cheese to the chicken and stir together until the cheese has melted.ย

Step 3: assemble and bake

Slice the buns through the center so you have the top half of the buns in one piece and the bottom half in another,ย leaving all 12 connected.ย  Spray a 9×13 inch baking tray or dish with nonstick spray and place the bottom buns down. Top with chicken mixture and spread around to evenly coat the buns. Top the chicken with 4 slices of cheese evenly across the top of the mixture. Place the top buns on top.ย  Spray the top of the buns with cooking spray and sprinkle with sesame seeds.ย  Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and buns are toasted.ย

Assemble chicken bacon ranch sliders in four steps: 1) Place the bottom halves of sandwich buns on a tray. 2) Add a filling of crumble and diced toppings. 3) Layer slices of cheese over them. 4) Finish with the top half of sesame seed buns to complete these tasty sliders.

How to store leftover sliders?

Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 days. To reheat, place in the oven on low to avoid the bread getting soggy.

Serve these with an extra side of sauce. I like to make extra homemade ranch dressing and serve it with veggies and chips so people can use it for both their sandwiches and as a dipping sauce.
