Recipe FAQs

How to store these frozen banana Snickers?

Store in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer for up to 7 days.

How can you get layers?

If you want true layers, you’ll need to add an extra freezing time. Prepare the banana mixture and freeze. Remove and top with the peanut butter and peanut and refreeze. Then coat with the chocolate. No need to do this though just swirl in the peanut butter to the top of the banana mixture.

Why does the chocolate get thick while coating?

If you’re dipping something frozen into something melted it is going to try to harden it! Just reheat the chocolate if needed!

Why isn’t my chocolate melting?

If you have a clump of chocolate you need to keep warming it until it’s melted. This takes a little while but it comes together.

Notes

  • Nutritional information is an estimate and will vary with substitutions.
  • Use ripe bananas to ensure the sweetest flavor.
  • Line your freezer safe container with parchment paper to make removal of the snickers bars easier. If you forget to do this you can just run hot water on the bottom until you can pop it out. If you run too much hot water and it melts just stick it back in the freezer to harden real quick.
  • Excess chocolate coating has been taken into account in the nutrition facts!
