Four wraps filled with cooked burgers, lettuce, cheese, pickles and Big Mac sauce with a side of fries.

These Big Mac Wraps have all the classic Big Mac flavors, but wrapped in soft tortillas for a little twist. Made with frozen beef patties cooked in the air fryer and your favorite burger toppings, this healthier version of the famous burger is basically a McDonald’s snack wrap stuffed with a burger.

You all know how I feel about making McDonald’s Big Mac inspired recipes. I have about a million variations like the Big Mac Casserole or Big Mac Sloppy Joes. Safe to say, the Big Mac is a fast food favorite. Whenever I feel like hitting the drive-through, I make a healthier alternative instead to hit my Big Mac cravings.

No Mac is complete without homemade Big Mac sauce so I’ve added that for you too. Make extra Big Mac sauce and use it as a dip for my air fryer blackened chicken or in Big Mac Salad Bowls.

  • Frozen Beef Patties: You can use frozen turkey burgers or veggie burgers. Or, make our own using the ground beef recipe from Big Mac Salad Bowls. and add the ground beef to the wrap. This gives it more of a crunch wrap feel. You can also use ground turkey or ground chicken.
  • Big Mac Special Sauce: this amazing copycat Big Mac sauce is an absolute must. You can swap mayo with cottage cheese or greek yogurt.
  • Flour Tortilla: you can use high-fiber tortillas or low-carb tortillas.

Variations

  • Use snack size tortillas and split them into two mini burger wraps.
  • Swap with American cheese or Swiss cheese.
  • Use turkey or chicken burgers instead!
  • Wrap a full burger into a tortilla like a crunchwrap.
  • For low carb use lettuce leaves and turn into a lettuce wrap.

Dietary Modifications

  • For gluten-free, use gluten-free tortillas.
  • For dairy-free, use a dairy-free mayo for the sauce and omit the cheddar cheese or use dairy-free cheese alternative.

How to make Big Mac wraps (a visual step-by-step guide):

Step 1: season burger patties

Evenly season the burgers with your preferred burger seasoning on both sides (image 1). I like using Kinders Steak Blend and Kinders Carmalized Onion Burger seasoning.

Three frozen burger patties topped with burger seasoning on a plate.

Step 2: air fry the burgers

Add the burgers to the air fryer basket (image 2). Cook at 380 for 8 minutes, flipping the burgers halfway through (image 3). This will give you a medium to medium well burger. Cook 3 mins on each side for medium rare and 5 mins each side for well done. Top the burgers with cheese (image 4) and cook for an additional 1 minute until melted (image 5)

Step 3: make Big Mac Sauce and warm tortillas

While the burgers cook, make your easy Big Mac Sauce. Add the mayonnaise, ketchup, chopped dill pickles and pickle juice to a small mixing bowl and combine.

Mix until well combined (image 7). To make the wraps nice and soft, microwave your tortillas for 15-20 seconds so they’re soft and slightly warm.

Step 4: assemble wraps

Lay tortillas flat and top each wrap with shredded lettuce (image 8), 1 cooked ground beef burger cut in half going the length of the wrap (image 9), 2 Tbsp. Big Mac sauce, minced onion (image 10) and pickles (image 11). Fold the tortilla like a burrito and enjoy.

Expert Tip!

Meal prep a bunch of burgers on Sunday. Use one burger for a wrap on Monday, one for a Big Mac Burger Salad Bowl on Tuesday and another on Wednesday with a bun!

Recipe FAQ’s

How do you store your leftover Big Mac wraps?

Store leftovers in an airtight container. Keep the sauce separate until ready to assemble. For easy meal prep on the go, assemble your wrap ahead of time, but leave the delicious Big Mac sauce off until you’re ready to eat.

Can I use other meats for the Big Mac wrap?

While I find beef patties to give the most authentic Big Mac taste, you can use any frozen patties, like turkey burgers, chicken burgers or veggie burgers. I suggest adding burger seasoning to all of these for flavor. You can also make your own burger patties using ground chicken, ground turkey or even impossible meat for a vegetarian version.

What do I serve with Big Mac wraps?

For a complete meal, serve with a side green salad or french fries.

Do I have to use an air fryer?

Definitely not!! We BBQ frozen burgers every Sunday. Just place them on the grill from frozen and BBQ for 3-4 minutes on each side with your favorite seasonings. You can also use fresh burger patties or pan sear patties as well.

What else can I use the sauce for?

Add it to Big Mac Casserole, Big Mac Salad bowls or Big Mac Pizza! I also love it on a runny egg sandwich.
