These homemade pizza bagels give pizza night a whole new look. Made with a simple homemade dough, fresh mozzarella and your favorite toppings, these little pizzas are not only easy to make, they’re high in protein and only 60 calories each.
Did you know you can make homemade plain bagels with just flour, greek yogurt and salt? Well, you can and the results are delicious. If your dough is too sticky, add some flour to your hands to create a barrier to make it more manageable.
These mini pizza bagels are not just for kids. They make a great lunch or easy snack for the whole family; just set out a topping bar and everyone can go to town.
Turn this into a complete meal with a side of French fries, a green salad and don’t forget about the homemade ranch dressing.

Ingredients and Substitutions:
These are the main ingredients and substitutions. See the recipe card below for the full ingredients list and instructions for the Easy Air Fryer Pizza Bagels Recipe:

- Non Fat Plain Greek Yogurt: full-fat yogurt will make a slightly denser bagel.
- Self-Rising Flour: you need self rising flour in order for the bagels to rise.
- Liquid Egg Whites: used for brushing the top of the bagel halves. You can also use a little olive oil.
- Marinara Sauce or Pizza Sauce: or your favorite white sauce.
- Mozzarella Cheese: grate your own cheese for the freshest taste. I like keeping it classic with mozzarella but you can use cheddar cheese or pepper jack cheese.
- Turkey Pepperoni: chop your pepperoni into small squares for that authentic frozen pizza bagel feel.
Variations/Toppings
- Black olives, red pepper flakes, fresh basil, mini pepperonis, favorite veggies or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
- Try mini bbq chicken pizzas, Hawaiian mini pizzas or a white sauce pizza to change it up.
Dietary Modifications
- Use gluten-free flour to make your pizza bagels gluten-free.
- For dairy-free, swap out the Greek yogurt and mozzarella cheese for a non-dairy alternative.
How to make homemade bagel bites:

Step 1: prep the bagel dough
Preheat the air fryer. In a medium bowl, combine the greek yogurt, flour and salt until fully combined.
Step 2: make bagels
Once combined, place on a floured surface and cut into 5 equally sized balls (35 grams each). Coat your fingers in flour, it helps to keep the dough from sticking to your hands. Roll into small balls and using your finger push a hole through the center and gently pull to create bagels. Alternatively, you can roll each one into a strip and curl it around connecting the ends to create a bagel. I like to have a small hole in the center so that the sauce doesnโt fall through when cooking.

Step 3: egg wash and add to air fryer
Using a brush, top the bagels with the egg whites wash, and sprinkle with salt.ย Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray and place the bagels in a single layer in the basket. Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-8 minutes until browned.ย

Step 4: remove and assemble pizzas
Remove from the air fryer and slice in half like a standard bagel. Top each half with ยฝ Tbsp. marinara sauce, 7g mozzarella cheese, and 2 chopped turkey pepperoni slices. Repeat with each remaining bagel half. Add any desired toppings after adding cheese and before placing in the air fryer the second time.

Step 6: melt the cheese
Place the mini bagels back in the air fryer and cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted.

Expert Tip!
Working with 2 ingredients dough can be a sticky mess. For best results, coat your hands in flour to create a barrier to make forming the dough into little bagels much easier.

Recipe FAQs
These delicious pizzas go with just about anything. For kids, I like to serve with a side of fruit. If I’m making them for myself I make a small garden salad to go with them.
Follow the same instructions and bake the uncooked bagels at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Slice and top with your desired toppings and place them back in the oven to melt the cheese and crisp the pepperoni for 2-3 minutes. Whether you air fry or bake, always keep an eye on your bagels to avoid burning.
Store your air fryer bagel pizzas in an airtight container. When reheating, place back in the air fryer or on a baking sheet to crisp them up in the oven or just in the microwave. If you are using these for school lunches, they are just as good cold.

Can I store the uncooked bagels in the freezer for later?
A spin on a favorite of mine! But healthier and just as yummy. Iโm normally turned away from anything you make from scratch, but this was pretty easy. And the macros are so much better than the other option!
So glad you gave it a shot and you liked it. All about the easy stuff!
