Air fryer tortilla pizzas on plates and a wooden board.

I love thin crust pizza with a super crispy crust, so these pizzas always hit the spot. Using tortillas instead of traditional pizza dough makes this simple recipe light in carbs and calories and high in fiber without having to sacrifice the stuff I love, like pepperoni, cheese and prosciutto.

Give in to your pizza craving because pizza night has never been easier. Whether you’re a fan of the classic cheese and pepperoni, want some variety with a supreme combo or prefer to be fancy with a pesto peach prosciutto, there’s something for everyone with these air fryer tortilla pizzas.

I have three different pizza recipes below but the best part about tortilla pizzas is you can make them your own with your favorite toppings. I love to set up a pizza bar and have everyone make their own or add in Air Fryer Pizza Bagels and Thai Curry Pizza. If people are brimming with excitement and don’t want to take turns with the air fryer, you can bake these at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 5-7 minutes. This will prevent an all out pizza brawl.

Why you’ll love this recipe

  • Between 320 and 380 calories per pizza.
  • Made with simple ingredients.
  • Totally customizable with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients and substitutions:

These are the main ingredients and substitutions for the three pizzas pictured. See recipe card below for full ingredients list and instructions for your air fryer tortilla pizza.

Tortillas, sauce, cheese, and pizza toppings on a plate.
  • Tortilla: use your favorite flour tortilla. I like using Mission Carb Smart for these pizzas. They also add a ton of fiber.
  • Mozzarella Cheese: low moisture or full fat.
  • Pizza Sauce: any will work great, use your favorite pizza sauce, marinara sauce or homemade.
  • Vegetables: green bell peppers, onions and black olives.
  • Turkey Pepperoni: pork or beef work as well. Turkey pepperoni will keep the calories and fat a little lower.
Ingredients for pesto peach prosciutto pizza including tortillas and arugula.
  • Pesto: storebought or homemade oil free pesto.
  • Peaches: fresh slices peaches make this such a delicious fresh and fruity pizza.
  • Proscuitto: adds a perfectly salty protein to the pizza.
  • Hot Honey: you can use regular honey if hot honey is not your thing.

Variations

  • White Pizza: alfredo sauce, cooked chicken and green onions.
  • Bbq Chicken Pizza: bbq sauce, cooked chicken, red onion, gouda cheese.
  • Thai Chicken Pizza: peanut sauce, cooked chicken, bean sprouts.
  • Use any store-bought tortillas that fit in the air fryer. Carb balance tortillas or flour tortillas are great options. Avoid corn tortillas as they tend to become more of a tostada.
  • Use any pizza sauce: tomato sauce, bbq sauce, white sauce, peanut sauce.

Dietary Modifications

  • For gluten-free, use gluten-free tortilla.
  • For dairy-free, omit the mozzarella cheese for non-dairy alternative.

How to make an easy tortilla pizza in the air fryer:

Step 1: preheat air fryer

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: prep sauce and tortilla

While the air fryer preheats, spread the sauce on the tortilla almost completely to the edges.

Step 3: assemble pizza

Top the sauce with the shredded mozzarella cheese and your favorite pizza toppings.

Step 4: air fry

Place the tortilla flat in the air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-7 minutes until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese has melted. Remove once cooked.

Recipe FAQs

How to store leftover air fryer pizza?

Keep any leftover pizza in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat your pizza in a hot oven to ensure the crust is crispy or place in the air fryer to reheat.ย

Can I use any tortillas for these pizzas?

You can! I find that thicker four tortillas work best for this. Corn tortillas will turn into more of a tostada.

What extra toppings should you put on pizza?

Red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, fresh basil, parmesan cheese and definitely a hot honey drizzle.
